At ACCEC, we believe that meaningful environmental change begins with informed policies and
empowered communities. Our Advocacy and Policy Engagement program is designed to
influence environmental decision-making and promote inclusive, sustainable development.
We engage in policy research, stakeholder dialogue, and grassroots mobilization to ensure that
pressing issues such as climate change, clean water access, regenerative agriculture, and
renewable energy are prioritized in local and national agendas.
Through this program, we:
Conduct research and develop policy briefs to inform evidence-based advocacy
Build the capacity of communities, especially youth and women, to participate in
environmental governance
Facilitate dialogue between communities, government, and civil society actors
Monitor the implementation of environmental policies and promote transparency and
accountability
By connecting community voices to policy platforms, ACCEC champions a just and sustainable
future where environment-friendly policies reflect the needs and realities of those most
affected.
