The programme
What we do
At ACCEC, meaningful environmental change begins with informed policies and empowered communities. Our Advocacy & Policy Engagement programme influences environmental decision-making through policy research, stakeholder dialogue and grassroots mobilisation.
Through this programme we
- Conduct research and develop policy briefs to inform evidence-based advocacy
- Build the capacity of communities — especially youth and women — to take part in environmental governance
- Facilitate dialogue between communities, government and civil society
- Monitor the implementation of environmental policies and promote transparency and accountability
