REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURE

Building climate-resilient schools and communities through sustainable farming
At ACCEC, our regenerative agriculture program promotes farming practices that heal the land,
improve food security, and empower communities especially schools to become champions of
sustainability. We work with school administrators, teachers, and student-led clubs to create
vibrant, practical learning gardens and agricultural hubs that provide food, skills, and hope.
Core components:
Backyard and school gardening.
We train students, teachers, and parents in organic gardening using local resources to produce
vegetables and herbs for school meals and home use.
Agroforestry integration.
We promote planting trees alongside crops in school compounds and farms to improve soil
health, provide shade, sequester carbon, and create windbreaks strengthening ecosystems
while offering fruit, firewood, and fodder.
Organic soil management.
Using composting and other organic techniques, we help communities reduce reliance on
chemical fertilizers and nurture soil life for better crop yields.
Climate-smart practices
Conservation tillage, crop rotation, intercropping, and mulching are key techniques we
introduce to build long-term resilience against drought and erosion.
Beekeeping and apiary projects.
Through hands-on training, we equip schools and youth groups with beekeeping skills,
supporting biodiversity, improving crop pollination, and generating income through honey
production.
Impact vision:
We aim to make every school a living classroom for regenerative agriculture, growing a
generation that nurtures the planet while securing their food and economic future.
