Powering education and protecting the planet with clean, accessible energy
In Uganda, many rural schools and homes still rely on harmful fuels like firewood and kerosene.
ACCEC’s renewable energy program provides clean, affordable energy solutions that protect
forests, improve health, and increase opportunities for education and development.
Core components:
Biogas systems.
We help schools and large households through our partners to install biogas digesters that
convert organic waste into clean cooking gas thus reducing deforestation, indoor smoke, and
fuel costs.
Energy-efficient cook stoves.
We promote locally made, fuel-saving cook stoves that burn efficiently, emit less smoke, and
reduce firewood consumption. These are ideal for school kitchens and household use.
Biomass briquettes production.
Our teams train youth and women's groups to turn agricultural waste into clean-burning
briquettes hence creating jobs while offering an eco-friendly alternative to charcoal.
Solar energy solutions.
From solar lamps to full solar home and classroom systems, we provide light to schools, and
households in off-grid communities. This improves study hours, reduces accidents, and cuts
costs related to energy
Impact vision.
We are lighting the way for education, health, and environmental protection by replacing
polluting fuels with renewable energy that works for everyone starting in the classroom.
