Action for Climate Change and Environmental Conservation (ACCEC) is a registered non-governmental organization in Uganda working to build climate-resilient schools and communities. We empower learners and local residents with practical, sustainable solutions to address the effects of climate change while improving livelihoods, health, and the environment.
Our work is centered on three core programs:
Regenerative agriculture.
We promote climate-smart farming through school and community gardens (food forests), agroforestry, organic fertilizers making, soil health management, Cuniculture and beekeeping. These practices improve food security, enhances nutrition, restore ecosystems, and create learning opportunities for students.
WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene)
We support schools and communities with access to safe water, inclusive sanitation facilities, and hygiene education. This includes borehole construction, rainwater harvesting, menstrual hygiene support, and hygiene awareness campaigns.
Renewable energy.
We promote clean energy solutions such as biogas, solar systems, improved cook stoves, and biomass briquettes. These technologies reduce reliance on firewood, improve indoor air quality, and power schools and homes in off-grid areas.
Through innovation, education, and grassroots action, ACCEC is supporting communities to thrive while protecting the planet.
